Below is an excerpt from someone’s OLD online journal (NDP). a bit cryptic but YOU can tell she’s writing about POSURFERS (right? for the record, that’s just my own interpretation). for those who are unfamiliar with the word, i made it up to call people being depicted in this post. I have been quite hesistant in expressing the exact same thoughts because I didn’t feel like I was in the position to say such things. So here I am, leaving it to the PRO…. and i quote:
then there comes this person (or persons…or whatever), telling the whole world about it just to impress and magyabang. to make matters worse, feeling pa niya/nila na they’re the only ones who do it. or if not the only ones, the ones who do it better. bite me.
is it just me or does everyone feel like this about something at some point? call me shallow but it just makes me sick. i don’t know if you’ll understand, but ano naman magagawa nyo? blog ko to. hehehe sensha na sa pagpapa-‘blind item’ nito. sa mga close and bestest friends ko, you probably know what i’m talking about. it sucks to see some people turn something you love into a fad. and nagfi-feeling pa na they’re the best. not that i’m saying we are—or I am—the best. it’s just that we do it because it’s where our hearts are. sila, para lang masabi na cool sila. as one friend put it, we’re like the seniors and they’re the freshmen.
another one of our friends said na sayang because ”it” used to be our secret joy. or something like that (those weren’t his exact words but im sure that’s what he meant). hindi naman kami greedy na gusto namin kami lang, i just hope that for the others, they do it for the right reasons. and please, quit bragging. and wag na mag-feeling.
